We are a backyard nursery with demonstration gardens located in south central Kentucky. We have many varieties of perennials and annuals to fit the needs of garden and landscapes of the mid-south.

Stuart Gardens history

  The original part of our house was constructed on this rural site in the early 1880's and has seen many families contribute to the home site's landscaping.

   In the mid 1970's the Wooley family purchased this house and the surrounding 350 acre farm. The Woolley's had come here from England to start a hybrid pig operation near Franklin, KY named Pig Improvement Corp. It was the Woolley's who constructed the near 1.5 acre English style gardens around the house and they began the tradition of a Spring Plant Sale.

  In 1995, Robert and Jodi Stuart purchased the house, gardens and 6.5 acres around the house and continued the small business as a means to support maintaining the gardens.
